Most classes will be held at the Satellite Art Space, located in the lower level of the Jasper Municipal Swimming Pool building, 1405 Bartley Street, Jasper.
Texture, Tiles and Throwing Clay
Mondays, 2/22 - 4/5, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Fee: $60 plus materials
Grades 5-8
This fun and exciting class will introduce students to the mesmerizing techniques of the potter's wheel. They will learn step-by-step how to properly center, open and raise the wall of a lump of clay into a beautiful piece of pottery. Students also get to glaze their pieces to add a finishing touch to their works. Kids will also make a tile project, al incorporating texture.Class size limited to 8.
Handmade Jewelry (adults and mature teens)

This fun class will explore a few of the different techniques that can be used to create beautiful and fun handmade jewelry. Techniques like bead weaving, rolled paper beads, ceramic beads, macreme jewelry, rolled texture copper pendant and more.
Pre-School: Art Out of Edibles
Tuesdays, 2/23 - 4/6, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Kids will use edible items to create art - Scratch and Sniff Paintings from Kool-Aide, M&Ms, Mosaics, and more.
Clay Hand Building (adults and mature teens)

Explore the many techniques that a clay artist can do with just their hands. We will explore using slump molds, textures, coiling, slabs and much more. Includes glazing, as well.
Clay Wheel for Adults
Wednesdays, 2/24 - 4/7, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Students will be introduced to creating three-dimensional form through hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. This class is limited to 8 students.
Dynamic Drawing (young adult/adult)

Drawing from life and imagination, students in this class will receive valuable "tips" based on the instructor's 45 years of drawing practice and professional activity. This class is ideal for all levels desiring to improve their drawing skills and the teachers promises the students they'll become faster and more powerful draftsmen.
Painting Studio for Adults

Grades Adult and young at heart!
Enjoy learning something different and new! In this workshop you will learn everything you need to know in order to get started in acrylic painting. There will be discussion on supplies and what they are used for, how to apply the pigment (paint) on paper to create a painting. You do not need drawing experience to benefit from this fun class.
Acrylic Painting for Adults / Young Adults

Good for beginners or as a refresher. Nick Ring will be demonstrating a variety of acrylic painting techniques and "tricks" learned and acquired over many years of professional activity. This class is ideal for all levels, professionals as well as beginners. Necessary supplies will be discussed during the first class.
